Originally built in 1949 as a high school, the renovated Conference Center opened to the public in June 1982. The center is available for rental to individuals or groups, with a kitchen and 8 rooms in various sizes accommodating from 10-400 people. Rates and fees vary according to the type of group utilizing the facility. The center is ideal for receptions, dances, parties, and exhibits, as well as noncommercial, commercial, or political meetings. The Conference Center is funded by the College Station hotel/motel tax, which collects tax on rooms rented in local establishments in College Station. The Parks Department Annex is located in an adjacent building.

The College Station Conference Center, located at 1300 George Bush Drive, is a 12,000 square foot multi-purpose facility.
Receptions
The Center is very versatile, with space ranging from an intimate meeting room for 12 persons, to a general session for 200. It features a 1,000 square foot lobby hall, eight meeting rooms, and a large kitchen for caterers. The facility can also accommodate forty, 8'x 10' exhibit booths.
Meetings
The beautiful landscaping of the terraced entrance plaza, two patios, and a large deck, provide a dramatic and inviting entry to this exceptional facility.
